REGISTER FOR TRYOUTS

Steel City Selects is the Pittsburgh area’s premier Tier II, all-female, ice hockey organization.  Our teams routinely rank in the top-20 Tier II teams in the country. Our National-bound 19U, 16U and 14U teams compete against top Tier II and lower-level Tier I teams from across the U.S. and Canada.  SCS is looking for players who can compete at a high level and wish to take their hockey skills to the next level. We have built a program that requires a full commitment to every practice, training session and game from all of our coaches and players. 

The 14U, 16U and 19U teams will play a 50+ game schedule and will have 3-5 ice touches per week -- either practices or games.   

In addition to our National-bound teams, we offer a 12U National-Bound Prep Program for 12U players.  

2024-2025 TRYOUTS INFORMATION

Tryouts for all of our teams will be held Tuesday, April 9 through Sunday, April 14 at Baierl Ice Complex. If needed, coaches may hold an additional evaluation on Tuesday evening, April 30.

After the players go on the ice for each session, there will be a parent meeting with Mary Alice Dolan at the front of the rink.
