SCS U16 Player, Kate Sramac, selected for USA Hockey National Camp

Kate Sramac (1999), a member of the Steel City Selects U16 team, was selected to attend the 2015 U18 USA National Player Development Camp in St Cloud MN. She also participated in the 2015 National Camp Showcase in Banff, Alberta, Canada and the 2015 Beantown Classic in Boston. In 2013-2014, her team finished third in the National Championships. Kate has played hockey since age six. 

Kate has an impressive academic record and is a member of the National Honor Society of High School Scholars and Link Leaders and is a People to People Ambassador.

A three-sport athlete, Kate also excels at basketball and lacrosse. As a sophomore in 2014/2015 she averaged ten points, five assists, five rebounds and two steals per game, and led the Mt. Lebanon High School basketball team to the WPIAL playoffs. Additionally, she was named Second-Team All Conference and is a member of Pittsburgh Rise AAU Basketball.  Kate also plays on the Mt. Lebanon High School lacrosse team and is a two-year member of the Pittsburgh Select Lacrosse (PSL) Club Team.

When not studying, playing hockey, basketball or lacrosse, Kate enjoys hanging out with her friends, two brothers, or two cats. She also plays the trumpet.

Kate is the daughter of Mike and Roberta Sramac. She attends Mt. Lebanon High School in the Pittsburgh area and will graduate in 2017.
