The inaugural Steel City Girls Invitational came to a successful completion on Sunday afternoon, January 17th.  After two days of intense competition among twenty teams spread across three age divisions, we were please to crown our first Steel City Girls Invitational champions.

U14
Champion: Steel City Selects; Finalist: Rochester Edge

U16
Champion: Steel City Selects; Finalist: Princeton Tiger Lilies

U19
Champion: Brick Hockey Club; Finalist: Armstrong Arrows

As a testament to the level of competition, over 65% of the weekend’s games ended with a 2-goal, or less, score differential.  In fact, the final game of the tournament, the U14 division championship was so tightly matched that the game was only 13 seconds away from going to a shoot-out when Steel City Selects scored to end the game.
